Why We Chose Bobgo as Our Shipping Partner

Why We Chose Bobgo as Our Shipping Partner

A print is only as good as its journey to your door. Packaging, handling, and — the part customers actually feel — how reliably it gets there. So when it came time to formalise how we ship, we didn't just pick whoever was easiest to sign up with. We got on calls, sat through demos, and compared notes across three different providers before deciding.

Who we considered

Our pick
Bobgo

Bobgo

Multi-courier shipping aggregator

Gobuddy

Gobuddy

Commuter-based delivery network

Picup

Picup

On-demand last-mile logistics

Bobgo doesn't run its own fleet — it's a shipping dashboard that plugs into multiple established couriers (The Courier Guy among them) so you can compare and book across all of them from one place, without a contract locking you into any single one.

Gobuddy takes a different approach entirely: everyday commuters carry parcels along routes they're already driving, earning a cut of the delivery fee. It's a genuinely interesting, more sustainable model, still growing its coverage.

Picup is an on-demand, tech-first logistics platform built for higher-volume e-commerce operations — warehousing, API integrations, the works. Solid infrastructure, but more built for bigger, ongoing order volumes than our shipment pattern.

Why Bobgo won

Two things decided it, in the end:

  • Rates. After getting quotes from all three, Bobgo consistently came out cheapest for our typical parcel sizes and routes.
  • How established it is. Bobgo isn't a single courier we're betting on — it's a layer over several already-established courier networks. If one partner has a bad week, there's another option sitting right there in the same dashboard.

Gobuddy's model is genuinely appealing and one we'll keep an eye on as it grows. Picup's platform is impressive, just built for a bigger operation than ours right now.

What changes for you

Nothing about how you order — WhatsApp is still the way in. What changes is entirely behind the scenes: your parcel is booked through Bobgo, which routes it via whichever of its courier partners makes sense for your address, at the best rate we've found.
